B20 Digital Inclusion Fund
Advancing Digital Inclusion and Economic Participation in South Africa and beyond
The B20 Digital Inclusion Fund was announced through the 2025 G20 and B20 South Africa Presidency process as a
proposed long-term catalytic blended-finance platform to advance inclusive digital transformation across Africa.
Its mandate arises from the priorities of the B20 Digital Transformation Task Force and recognises digital
transformation as a horizontal enabler across the other seven B20 Task Forces.
The B20 Digital Inclusion Fund is focused on expanding digital access, supporting digital entrepreneurs, and enabling Communities and MSMEs to participate in the digital economy.
About The B20 Digital Inclusion Fund
Africa has one of the fastest growing digital economies in the world, yet millions of entrepreneurs, businesses and communities remain excluded from the digital ecosystem.
Limited access to digital infrastructure, technology, funding, and skills continues to slow the growth of MSMEs and digital innovation.
The B20 Digital Inclusion Fund seeks to support initiatives that accelerate digital participation and unlock new economic opportunities across the continent.
What We Do
The initiative focuses on supporting:
- Digitally enabled MSMEs
- High-growth digital enterprises
- Technology adoption across traditional sectors
- Community digital inclusion initiatives
- Innovation and venture ecosystems
- Women and youth-led enterprises
- Socio-economic digital enablement programmes
